Meaks and Margot discuss season two, episode five of The Walking Dead, “Chupacabra.” We love this episode. In particular, we (of course) love Daryl’s fever dream of Merle in which Daryl must put faith in himself and decide who he will be outside of Merle — team player or lone wolf — plus Carol thinks he’s every bit as good as Shane and Rick. Every bit. (Sobbing noises.) We discuss the politics of continuing to look for Sophia and the unfortunate similarities between Shane and Ed re: if it’s not for me and my family, what’s the value of doing it?
